I came up for Private College Week, but my mom and I spent the weekend checking out the town and visiting Bayfield (and the Apostle Islands). When we first got there Saturday, we decided to peek at the campus and found out it was Alumni Weekend! At Northland, we love to get outdoors....
Northland is located in the town of Ashland, WI. Campus is walking distance from Lake Superior, many great hiking/ walking and water fall trails, and just a drive away from WI and MN state parks, the Chequamegon- Nicolet National Forest, and the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore. Many popular activities of current students include hiking, wildlife viewing, camping, snowshoeing, frisbee golfing, skiing, biking, canoeing, sea kayaking, and you name it!
The Ashland community is also very supportive of local business and culture. You can find the bakery, the food co-op, farmer's market, and the local coffee shop all on one street close to campus.
